Paying for treatment: CDCP, insurance, and no coverage

If you are on the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP)

We are an approved CDCP provider and submit claims to the plan directly. You pay only your co-payment at the time of the visit. CDCP is not a reimbursement programme, so you cannot pay in full and claim it back later, which is why it matters that your clinic is enrolled.

You likely qualify if your adjusted household income is under $90,000 and you do not have private dental insurance. This applies to many families with children, seniors on a fixed income, and newcomers who have not yet joined a workplace plan.

Exams, X-rays, cleanings, fillings, scaling and simple extractions need no pre-approval. Crowns, bridges, dentures and complex work do, and we handle that paperwork for you. Full details:

If you have private insurance

We bill most major plans directly, so you pay only the portion your plan does not cover. Bring your card to the first visit.

If you have no coverage at all

Tell us when you book. We quote the full cost before treatment starts, and larger cases can be paid in stages rather than all at once. Nothing gets added to the bill that you have not agreed to first.

Hours and same-day appointments

Four evenings a week until 8 PM and a full Saturday. A good share of this neighbourhood works shifts, so the evening and weekend hours make it easier to come in without taking time off.

We hold time each day for urgent cases. If you call with pain, swelling or a broken tooth, we will usually see you the same day. If the day is full we will tell you on the phone rather than book you a week out and leave you in pain.
