- Convenient if you commute to York from Scarborough

- No coverage? We accept the CDCP
York students who live in Scarborough commute enough already. If that’s you, we’re a student dentist in Scarborough, not a long trip across the city after class. We accept Studentcare and the major plans, bill your insurance directly, and keep evening and Saturday hours.

Studentcare and student plans, billed directly
As a York student, you have a dental plan through the York Federation of Students, administered by Studentcare, unless you opted out at the start of the year.
We bill Studentcare directly, so you show your card and we submit the claim. You pay only what the plan does not cover, if anything.
Plans we accept
- Studentcare
- Green Shield Canada
- Sun Life, Manulife, Canada Life, Blue Cross, Desjardins, ClaimSecure, GroupHEALTH
Not sure whether you opted out? Call us with your details and we will check before you book.
Getting here from York University
A long trip from campus, but short from home if you live in Scarborough.
- By Car: From 4700 Keele St, take Highway 401 east to the Warden or Victoria Park exit, then south to Lawrence Avenue East. About 34 minutes, 23.6 km. Parking at the clinic is free.
- By Transit (TTC): From York University station, take Line 1 south, connect to Line 5 or the 5 Avenue Road route east, then the 54 Lawrence East to the clinic. About 1 hour 12 minutes from campus. If you live in Scarborough rather than by campus, the trip is much shorter.
- By Bus (TTC Route 54 Lawrence East): The 54 Lawrence East stops directly outside the clinic and runs the length of Lawrence, the simplest option once you are on this side of the city.

They were absolutely amazing, very helpful, great bedside manner. I almost don't feel bad for my tooth decay and several cavities (i... I really need to brush and floss more often.)Posted on Google![]()

FAQs
York student dental questions
Do you accept Studentcare?
Yes. Studentcare administers the York Federation of Students dental plan, and we bill it directly.
I go to York but live in Scarborough. Is this convenient?
Yes. Many York students commute from Scarborough. We are close to home, so you don’t have to book a dentist near the Keele campus.
Do you bill my insurance directly?
Yes, for Studentcare and the major plans. You pay only the portion your plan does not cover.
Do you accept the CDCP?
Yes. If your household income is under $90,000 and you have no private insurance, you may qualify. We are an approved provider.
How do I get there from campus?
About 34 minutes by car via Highway 401. By transit it is a longer trip, so most York students who come to us live in Scarborough rather than travelling from campus.
Can I get a same-day emergency appointment?
Where we can, yes. Call (647) 696-9294 with pain, swelling or a broken tooth.
