Dentist near Dorset Park
Everything from a checkup to an implant, a few minutes north
Lawrence Dental Centre is a short drive from Dorset Park, at 1720 Lawrence Avenue East. Kennedy Road and Birchmount Road both run south from the neighbourhood down to Lawrence, so the trip is a single road most of the way.
Dr. Daniel Gibbs and Dr. Sasan Shahrbandi see patients from across Dorset Park. Implants, root canals, crowns and oral surgery are all done at this address, so a bigger case does not mean a referral somewhere else. We are open until 8 PM Monday through Thursday, we bill insurance directly, and we are an approved CDCP provider.
- Open today until 8:00 PM
- Accepting new patients
- CDCP accepted

Where we are
Dorset Park sits between Ellesmere Road and Highway 401, bounded by Kennedy Road on the east and Birchmount Road on the west. We are a short way south-west of it, on Lawrence Avenue East between Pharmacy and Warden.
The simplest way to picture the trip: whichever of Kennedy or Birchmount is closer to you, take it south to Lawrence, then head west. We are on the north side of Lawrence, across from Dixie Land Plaza.
From the Kennedy and Ellesmere corner it is roughly seven minutes. From the Birchmount side, closer to five.
Getting here from Dorset Park
Whichever way you travel, it is a short trip.

- By Bus (TTC Route 43 Kennedy): The 43 runs south on Kennedy and connects to the 54 Lawrence East, which stops directly outside the clinic.
- By Bus (TTC Route 17 Birchmount): The 17 runs south on Birchmount to Lawrence, where you transfer to the 54 Lawrence East westbound.
- By Line 5 and Line 2 (Kennedy Station): Kennedy Station now connects Line 2, the Eglinton Crosstown (Line 5) and GO. From there, the 43 Kennedy runs north toward Lawrence. Line 5 opened in February 2026.

Every treatment, one address
No referral across town for implants, oral surgery or CDCP care.
The reason to drive a few minutes over is that a bigger problem does not become a bigger errand. An implant, a root canal, a difficult extraction or a full set of dentures is planned and finished here, by the same team, rather than sending you to a second office across Scarborough.
Same-day appointments for pain, swelling, breaks and lost fillings
Cleanings, scaling and gum maintenance
First visits, checkups and cavity prevention
Saves the tooth instead of pulling it
Treatment for bleeding or receding gums
Permanent replacement for a missing tooth
Rebuilds a cracked or heavily filled tooth
Closes a gap using the teeth beside it
Removal when a tooth can't be saved
Who you'll see
Two dentists, and the implant and surgical work stays in house.

Paying for treatment: CDCP, insurance, and no coverage
If you are on the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP)
We are an approved CDCP provider and submit claims to the plan directly. You pay only your co-payment at the time of the visit. CDCP is not a reimbursement programme, so you cannot pay in full and claim it back later, which is why it matters that your clinic is enrolled.
| Household income | CDCP pays | You pay |
|---|---|---|
| Under $70,000 | 100% | Nothing |
| $70,000 to $79,999 | 60% | 40% |
| $80,000 to $89,999 | 40% | 60% |
Exams, X-rays, cleanings, fillings, scaling and simple extractions need no pre-approval. Crowns, bridges, dentures and complex work do, and we handle that paperwork for you.
If you have private insurance
We bill most major plans directly, so you pay only the portion your plan does not cover. Bring your card to the first visit.
If you have no coverage at all
Tell us when you book. We quote the full cost before treatment starts, and larger cases can be paid in stages rather than all at once. Nothing gets added to the bill that you have not agreed to first.
Hours and same-day appointments
Four evenings a week until 8 PM and a full Saturday. That covers most work schedules without needing a weekday afternoon off.
We hold time each day for urgent cases. If you call with pain, swelling or a broken tooth, we will usually see you the same day. If the day is full we will tell you on the phone rather than book you a week out and leave you in pain.
