Dentist for TMU Students in Scarborough
For TMU students who live in or commute from Scarborough
- We accept Studentcare and major student dental plans
- Direct billing to your insurance
- Convenient if you commute to TMU from Scarborough
- Open evenings until 8 PM and Saturdays
- No coverage? We accept the CDCP
Many students at Toronto Metropolitan University, formerly Ryerson, live in Scarborough and commute downtown to campus. If that is you, we’re a dental clinic for students in Scarborough close to home, not a trip back downtown after class. We accept Studentcare and the major student plans, bill your insurance directly, and keep evening and Saturday hours.

Studentcare and student plans, billed directly
As a TMU student, you have a dental plan through the Toronto Metropolitan Students’ Union, administered by Studentcare, unless you opted out at the start of the year.
We bill Studentcare directly, so you show your card and we submit the claim. You pay only what the plan does not cover, if anything.
Plans we accept
- Studentcare
- Green Shield Canada
- Sun Life, Manulife, Canada Life, Blue Cross, Desjardins, ClaimSecure, GroupHEALTH
Not sure whether you opted out? Call us with your details and we will check before you book.
Getting here from TMU
A trip from downtown, but short from home if you live in Scarborough.
- By Car: From 350 Victoria St, take the Don Valley Parkway north to Lawrence Avenue East and head east. About 22 minutes, 15 km. Parking at the clinic is free.
- By Transit (TTC): From TMU (Dundas station), take Line 1 north and connect to Line 5 Eglinton east, then the 54 Lawrence East to the clinic. About 1 hour 4 minutes from campus. If you live in Scarborough rather than downtown, the trip is much shorter.
- By Bus (TTC Route 54 Lawrence East): The 54 Lawrence East stops directly outside the clinic and runs the length of Lawrence, the simplest option once you are on this side of the city.

What Our Patients Say
Posted on Google Luana ForteTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I couldn’t be happier with the service I got in Lawrence Dental Centre. I arrived there in such awful pain and all the attendants and assistants were wonderful to me. Doctor Sasan was so kind and attentive, as well as his assistant Maria, they explained all the procedure and he did an incredible job extracting the tooth. I didn’t feel pain at all, not even discomfort. Everything happened really fast and smoothly and I would just like to truly appreciate all the attention towards me. Thank you so much Dr. Sasan and all the team. God bless you all.Posted on Google LisaTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. FAQs
TMU student dental questions
Do you accept Studentcare?
Yes. Studentcare administers the TMU students’ union dental plan, and we bill it directly.
I go to TMU but live in Scarborough. Is this convenient?
Yes. Many TMU students commute from Scarborough. We are close to home, so you don’t have to find a dentist downtown near campus.
Do you bill my insurance directly?
Yes, for Studentcare and the major plans. You pay only the portion your plan does not cover.
Do you accept the CDCP?
Yes. If your household income is under $90,000 and you have no private insurance, you may qualify. We are an approved provider.
How do I get there from campus?
About 22 minutes by car via the Don Valley Parkway. By transit it is a longer trip, so most TMU students who come to us live in Scarborough rather than travelling from campus.
Can I get a same-day emergency appointment?
Where we can, yes. Call (647) 696-9294 with pain, swelling or a broken tooth.
